I am writing to share the most incredible thing you will likely ever hear, and it has everything to do with your position if you will follow it. I would recommend looking into living in Utah, as we have Beautiful Mountains as well, but in the winter when it snows, southern Utah is desert and you can camp and hike still all year round! Thats why i never left again after moving here 10 years ago. Its the longest i have ever lived anywhere, and doubt ill ever leave! It also only a 6 hours drive to get to Colorado, so we sometimes visit there too since we are centrally located in the US between all these awesome places to go for the outdoors! I am originally from Colorado Springs, but have moved a lot due to being in a Military family, and Utah is definitely awesome, Colorado being a close second. but i agree with what you said, the winters in CO are much worse than here in Utah otherwise i would also want to move back lol
